About this role

**Algorithm Developer, Tracking Systems** **About the Team** Anduril’s Air & Missile Defense Radar team develops tracking algorithms and software systems to detect, track, and characterize airborne threats in real-time. You’ll work in small teams across the full spectrum—from novel multi-target tracking algorithms to high-performance distributed systems that process massive sensor data streams in milliseconds. **What You Will Do** - Design and implement advanced tracking algorithms for air and missile threats (multi-target tracking, track fusion, discrimination) - Develop real-time software to process radar sensor data and maintain tracks on dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets - Build and use modeling & simulation environments to validate tracking performance and quantify capabilities - Collaborate with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into end-to-end defense systems - Optimize tracking software for performance-critical environments where milliseconds matter - Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, program leadership, and customers - Participate in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure successful deployment **Required Qualifications** - 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience) - Strong programming skills in C++ and Python - Solid foundation in mathematics (linear algebra, probability, statistics, and/or differential equations) - Software engineering fundamentals (design patterns, testing, version control, debugging) - Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance **Desired Qualifications** - Experience with tracking/estimation/filtering (e.g., Kalman filters, particle filters, multiple hypothesis tracking) - Background in controls, estimation theory, or digital signal processing - Familiarity with radar systems or sensor fusion - Experience with high-performance computing (multithreading, GPU acceleration, distributed systems) - Knowledge of ML techniques for classification/clustering/data association - Proficiency with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, time-series databases) - Web development experience (JavaScript, React, Node.js) for visualization/analysis tools - Familiarity with modeling & simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink, or custom frameworks) - Experience working in agile development environments - Active U.S. Top Secret SCI clearance **Transcripts (Early Application Process)** We request transcripts to understand your academic background and how coursework supports role-critical skills. If you don’t share transcripts, you’ll need to provide detailed information about relevant courses (including projects and coursework specifics). If you do provide transcripts, you may redact non-technical information (e.g., student ID, dates, non-technical coursework). Unofficial transcripts obtained online are acceptable. **Compensation (US Salary Range)** $126,000 — $167,000 USD (base salary estimate; actual offer may vary) **Benefits** Comprehensive, competitive benefits package (available at little to no cost to employees).
