**Anduril Industries — 2027 Early Career Flight Software Engineer** ## About the role Anduril is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. We’re looking for **Flight Software Engineers** to join our rapidly growing team. As an entry-level engineer, you’ll work alongside industry experts in **Flight Software (FSW)**, **Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC)**, or **Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MSA)** to help develop and test advanced autonomous systems. ## What you’ll do - Assist in the design and development of **flight software algorithms**, **GNC systems**, or **simulation models** - Participate in the integration and testing of **software/hardware components** in lab, ground, or flight tests - Analyze data from **simulations** and **flight test events** to improve systems - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering challenges and enhance performance - Use creative problem-solving to advance **UAS and missile technologies** ## Required qualifications - Pursuing or recently completed a **bachelor’s or master’s degree** in **Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field** - Must be a **U.S. Person** due to required access to **U.S. export-controlled information or facilities** (U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program) - Able to start **full time in 2027** ## Preferred qualifications - Strong foundation in **software development (FSW)**, **control theory (GNC)**, or **analytical modeling (MSA)** - Keen interest in **autonomous systems**, **UAS**, and **missile technology** - Excellent **communication**, **teamwork**, and **problem-solving** skills - Hands-on experience with **Design-Build-Fly** teams, robotics competitions (e.g., **FIRST** or **VEX**), or collegiate rocketry groups - Credible aerospace-related experience such as: - High-power rocketry experience/certification - Remotely piloted or semi-autonomous aircraft - Software integration on target hardware (e.g., **Raspberry Pi**, **Pixhawk**, **CubePilot/Cube Orange**, or custom microcontrollers) using onboard **IMU/GNSS** and **SITL/HITL** simulation environments - Experience with open-source autopilot suites like **ArduPilot** or **PX4** - Experience integrating flight hardware components (e.g., servos/actuators, IMUs, magnetometers, GNSS receivers/antennas) and serial comms/radio telemetry (e.g., **UART, CAN, I2C, SPI**) - Basic familiarity with electrical test equipment (e.g., **multimeters**, **oscilloscopes**) and post-flight data analysis using **Python** or **MATLAB** ## Compensation (US Salary Range) **$112,000 — $149,000 USD** (base salary estimate; equity grants and benefits may be included depending on offer) ## Benefits Anduril offers a comprehensive benefits package (available at little to no cost to employees).
