About this role

**Senior Hospital Applications Analyst** **Overview** Self-directed role supporting the planning, development, implementation, and support of clinical information systems. You’ll perform analysis, testing, and implementation to solve complex problems, develop testing strategies, maintain project plans, and help create training materials—ensuring systems meet University policies and regulatory requirements. **What You’ll Do** - Provide analysis, design, and support for hospital systems (testing, training, implementation, and ongoing support) - Document, communicate, and assist with problem determination and resolution - Maintain detailed project plans - Gather requirements and compile data by partnering with end users, vendors, and other teams - Assist with installation of software and/or hardware systems - Coordinate with HST/IS&T departments to ensure standards are met - Create and maintain documentation (training manuals, build documents, decision documents, etc.) - Assist with development and delivery of training to improve proper system usage - Perform technical resource planning and support - Recommend project team organization to support successful implementation - Deliver project-level service with the user community - Provide input to departmental policies and procedures - Follow policies and procedures related to implementing and supporting hospital systems **Qualifications** **Required** - Bachelor’s degree (preference for a health-related discipline such as Nursing or Pharmacy; also acceptable: Computer Science, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Science, or related field) - 3+ years of information systems experience (preference for candidates from a patient care environment) - Complete certification on an Epic application specified by management within 6 months of training - Ability to maintain and assist in managing project work plans - Demonstrated interpersonal skills in a service-oriented environment - Strong written and oral communication skills - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills **Preferred** - Experience with electronic medical records - Prior Epic experience **What We Offer** - Vacation time - Medical & prescription drug coverage; dental & vision insurance - Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - Short- & long-term disability insurance - Pension plan - Pet insurance - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Professional development **Compensation (Pay Transparency)** - Salary range: **Min. $89,754 | Mid. $108,480 | Max. $129,432** per year - Final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. **About University Hospital** University Hospital is a leading academic medical center and the principal teaching affiliate of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, and the only state-certified Level 1 Trauma Center in Northern New Jersey. **Apply Today** We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
