**Staff DevOps Engineer, Federal/National Security** **About The Role** Build the secure delivery and deployment foundation for Red Cell Federal from the ground up. You'll design and implement CI/CD, software promotion, infrastructure automation, and operational processes for software deployed across unclassified, controlled, and classified environments. As customer deployments grow, you'll become a critical connection point between software teams and restricted customer environments. **What You'll Do** • Design and build CI/CD and software promotion pipelines from scratch • Establish secure processes for promoting software across multiple classification levels • Support ATO-related technical activities for software agents and deployments • Build repeatable deployment, release, rollback, monitoring, and troubleshooting capabilities • Deploy and operate software in government and customer-controlled environments • Diagnose issues in restricted environments with limited log/data access • Partner with engineering teams to isolate problems and deliver corrected artifacts • Define infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and secrets management practices • Help establish operational and compliance practices for federal work • Evaluate tools and architecture based on security, reliability, and mission requirements • Document systems and processes for scalable multi-customer deployments **About You** • Active U.S. government Secret clearance or higher (Top Secret preferred) • Professional DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or release engineering experience • Experience building or redesigning CI/CD and deployment systems • Experience deploying to government, defense, regulated, air-gapped, or restricted environments • Strong understanding of software delivery, artifact promotion, and access controls • Experience with GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable tools • Container and Kubernetes/Helm experience • Infrastructure-as-code and configuration automation skills • Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or Go • Strong communication across engineering, security, compliance, and customer stakeholders • Builder mentality with genuine interest in creating systems from zero **Preferred Qualifications** • IL4, IL5, IL6, classified, or cross-domain deployment experience • ATO or continuous authorization process contributions • Familiarity with NIST, RMF, FedRAMP, CMMC, or STIGs **Compensation & Benefits** $170,000–$240,000 + bonus + equity • Career advancement opportunities with strong performance • 100% employer-paid comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision) • 14 weeks paid parental leave • Unlimited PTO • Professional development opportunities • 401(k), FSA, and equity incentives • Mental health benefits and wellness programs
