You’ll guide the direction of engineering efforts and help ensure high-quality software delivery. Reporting to the **VP of Engineering**, you’ll partner closely with a **20-person** engineering and product team, shaping architecture, development, and optimization. **Responsibilities** - Own execution and delivery of product priorities with product and design - Lead technical architecture and design for scalability, efficiency, and security - Align technical solutions with business needs and product vision - Drive technical discussions and decision-making to support company goals and technology strategy - Mentor and guide engineers; foster technical excellence and continuous improvement - Lead by example with high-quality, maintainable, robust code - Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends; advocate for adoption when appropriate **Qualifications** - 8+ years of software engineering experience (SaaS, fintech, or related) - Deep expertise in modern software development practices and a broad range of technologies/frameworks - Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for complex technical challenges - Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to mentor and inspire - Experience in architectural design and decision-making for scalable, high-performance systems **What we offer** - Competitive salary + meaningful equity - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) match and flexible PTO - A seat at the table in a rapidly scaling vertical AI startup - Unlimited opportunities for professional growth and leadership **In-office mandate** - Monday–Thursday in our sunny **Union Square** office.
