**Sr. DevOps Engineer** **Location:** McLean/Tysons, VA | **Work Model:** On-site (4-5 days/week) **About the Role** Are you an elite technical leader with an active Top Secret clearance? Join Appian's Federal Customer Success team to scale complex cloud infrastructure, engineer robust automated systems, and serve as a trusted advisor to federal agencies. **What You'll Do** • Lead Enterprise Cloud Scaling across federal customer environments • Architect Infrastructure & Systems using Linux, Windows, AWS, Google Compute Engine, or Azure • Automate Security & Operations with BASH, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby • Govern Relational Data Tiering (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) • Advise Executive Stakeholders on platform capabilities and mission alignment • Manage Hybrid Installations for secure cloud and on-premise deployments **Required Qualifications** • U.S. Citizen with active **Top Secret** clearance (or higher) • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or related field • 3-5 years as expert IT systems administrator managing enterprise hosts, databases, and cloud networks • Active **CompTIA Security+** certification (or willing to complete post-onboarding) **Preferred Qualifications** • Hands-on Appian environment administration experience • Kubernetes and modern microservice deployment expertise • Experience with Salesforce or ServiceNow **Compensation & Benefits** **Base Salary:** $100,000–$200,000 USD + clearance differential Comprehensive benefits include 401(k) match, flexible PTO, parental leave, medical/dental/vision, life/disability insurance, wellness programs, HSA contributions, referral bonuses, and learning resources. **About Appian** Appian provides AI automation for mission-critical work across enterprises and governments. 25+ years of expertise in automating complex processes at scale.
