**Director, Technology** **Location:** Remote (US) | **Type:** Full Time **About the Role** Lead the strategic technology direction for DentalPlans.com and manage the technology organization supporting a direct-to-consumer digital business. Partner with Product and business leaders to translate strategy into a clear technology roadmap while balancing modernization, reliability, quality, and delivery speed. **Key Responsibilities** • Translate business strategy into actionable technology roadmaps with clear communication of tradeoffs and risks • Own strategic technology objectives and long-range planning, addressing legacy systems and technical debt • Lead blended teams of internal engineers and outsourced/BPO resources across onshore and offshore locations • Establish and improve delivery processes across software development, QA, and release management • Evaluate practical AI capabilities to improve team efficiency, product quality, and operational performance • Develop team capability through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning • Maintain engagement with broader Henry Schein One technology initiatives **What We're Looking For** • 12+ years progressive IT experience; 5+ years leading IT teams with full-scope ownership • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred) • Broad knowledge of full tech stack: web development, backend, databases, infrastructure, QA, digital platforms • Experience with customer-facing digital platforms and SDLC methodologies • Proven ability to lead blended, virtual, and offshore teams • Strong communication and stakeholder management across all organizational levels • Hands-on experience applying AI tools in engineering and operational workflows **Compensation & Benefits** $165,000 - $210,000 + bonus eligibility Robust benefits including health coverage, 401(k) match, PTO, parental leave, wellness resources, and education support. **Note:** Remote within US; up to 10% travel. Not currently hiring in DE, HI, ND, RI, VT, PR, or other US territories.
