**Software Engineer (L2), Identity — Twilio (US Remote)** **Who we are** Twilio is shaping the future of communications—remote-first, globally connected, and focused on building secure, developer-first experiences for businesses and developers worldwide. **About the job** Help build and scale Stytch’s core product as Stytch capabilities are brought to Twilio’s full customer base. You’ll build backend systems powering authentication, authorization, and emerging agentic and non-human identity use cases. This is a high-ownership, startup-speed environment within Twilio. **Responsibilities** - Build backend product capabilities for Stytch’s identity platform (new API surfaces and core authentication flows, including agentic/non-human identity use cases) - Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate customer needs into roadmap features - Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams to align architecture, integrate platform capabilities, and unblock initiatives - Drive deep technical ownership (author design docs, lead key decisions, review code, stay close to shipped systems) - Break down complex problems in ambiguity, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and design delightful developer experiences - Improve production quality and resilience via observability, incident response, and remediation - Mentor and support engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge-sharing **Qualifications** **Required** - 3+ years designing, building, and operating high-scale, mission-critical cloud production systems - Experience with a production-grade codebase in a modern programming language and best-practice coding standards - Extensive experience with RESTful API design and development - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work non-standard hours, including on-call rotation (weekends/holidays) **Desired** - Familiarity with Go, TypeScript, and DynamoDB - Experience building developer tools or SDKs - Experience building and owning products consumed by paying customers **Location / Travel** - **US remote** - Occasional travel may be required for in-person team/project meetings **Compensation** Estimated pay ranges vary by location (and may include eligibility for equity and a corporate bonus plan).
