**Senior Software Engineer - Blockchain Network** **About the Role** As a Senior Software Engineer on the Blockchain Networks team, you'll build critical infrastructure that integrates blockchain protocols with Coinbase's internal services. You'll own multi-quarter technical initiatives and ship platform primitives that improve latency, reliability, and cost. **What You'll Do** • Own design and delivery of blockchain network infrastructure that abstracts complexity into reliable platform APIs • Lead multi-quarter initiatives including new chain integrations, re-architecture efforts, and data migrations • Define and maintain APIs, SLOs, and observability for systems you build, including on-call ownership • Partner with product and platform teams to establish data contracts and ship SDKs • Build technical context across multiple blockchain protocols (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) **Required Experience** • 5+ years of software engineering with demonstrated ownership of production services • Proven track record designing and scaling distributed systems for high-throughput, low-latency workloads • Hands-on experience with: Golang, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, or similar infrastructure technologies • Direct experience with blockchain protocols or crypto infrastructure (Ethereum, Bitcoin, L1/L2 networks) • Ability to decompose complex systems into well-bounded microservices with clear API contracts • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight **Compensation & Details** 💰 Base Salary: $186,065 - $218,900 USD (varies by location) Includes equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)) **Job ID:** P77731 *Coinbase is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
