Our work spans customer-facing software and the data platform powering the next era of innovation at Ryder. **Baton’s mission:** enable supply chain on autopilot. --- ### Role **Software Engineer - Full Stack** ### Location **Hayes Valley, San Francisco, CA** ### Basic Job Details - **Job Type:** Full Time - **Work Model:** Hybrid - **Remote Days:** Monday & Friday - **Office Days:** Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday --- ### Job Description We’re looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer who thrives in dynamic environments and builds applications that connect with users. You’ll design and implement both front-end and back-end components using a diverse stack including **TypeScript, React, Python, GraphQL**, and more. You’ll be proactive, a strong problem solver, and passionate about modern full-stack development. --- ### Responsibilities - Plan and execute project milestones, identifying/mitigating risks and resolving issues quickly to deliver high-quality work - Develop and enhance web application architecture for scalability, maintainability, and performance; collaborate with senior engineers and architects on system structure and core components - Build backend application layers and data models with robust functionality, security, and scalability (current stack includes **Python 3, GraphQL, FastAPI**) - Build and maintain frontend interfaces using **React** and **TypeScript**, delivering excellent UX and high performance across platforms - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand end-user requirements, create project plans, and deliver technical solutions - Stay current with industry trends and technologies to keep the stack competitive --- ### Minimum Qualifications - **3+ years** of full-stack software development experience with web application architecture and design patterns for complex enterprise applications - Familiarity with web development best practices and ability to discuss engineering/product tradeoffs - Proficiency in **Python** with a track record of building intuitive, responsive, fast web interfaces - Proficiency with **TypeScript** and **React** --- ### Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field - Strong foundation in first-principles thinking to drive problem-solving and innovation - Experience with **AWS** or similar cloud services --- ### The Perks - Competitive base salary + cash bonus structure - Annual company bonus + long-term incentive plan - 401(k) with matching - Hybrid work schedule - Hyper-stable, publicly traded enterprise - Medical, dental, and vision coverage - Employee Stock Purchase Program (15% discount to market value) - Collaborative, fun, tech-forward office in Hayes Valley, San Francisco, CA **Compensation Range:** **$150,000 - $200,000*** (base salary).
