About this role
## Responsibilities - Work closely with Product Owner, Data Coaches/Analysts, DBA, and Scrum/Kanban teams. - Develop, test, and maintain a complex distributed processing application using **Python** and **Java**. - Ensure alignment with program standards and backend/frontend requirements. - Meet **SAFe Agile** delivery expectations. - Work independently and effectively with little to no supervision. ## Qualifications **Required Qualifications** - **8+ years** with **BS/BA**; **6+ years** with **MS/MA**; **3+ years** with **PhD**. - Ability to work independently with little to no supervision. - Strong **Python** development with **Java** experience *or* strong **Java** development with **Python** experience. - Experience with distributed workloads via **Spark/Hadoop/Other**. - **SQL** skills; **Snowflake** experience. - **AWS** experience. - Strong **shell scripting**. - Team player with excellent executive function and communication skills. - **US Citizen or Green Card**; must have been in the US **3 of the last 5 years**. - Ability to obtain a **Public Trust** clearance. **Preferred Qualifications** - **SAFe** experience and/or certification. - **CLI Linux** experience. - **Visual Studio (VS Code)** or other IDE experience. - Job scheduling / process automation experience. - Rules-based model experience. - Experience with **Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS)** information systems. - **CMS – Medicare or Medicaid claims** experience. - Rules engine experience (e.g., **ODM/DRools**). ## Company Overview (Peraton) Peraton is a next-generation national security company and enterprise IT provider delivering trusted solutions and technologies to protect the nation and allies. ## Target Salary Range **$104,000 – $166,000** (typical range). Salary depends on experience, education, skills, location, and contract/business factors.
