## Department of Energy — CIS3 Infrastructure Engineering (Peraton) ### Overview Peraton is seeking experienced **Infrastructure Engineers** to support anticipated opportunities on the **Department of Energy, Cybersecurity Intelligence and Security Support Services (CIS3)** program. This effort will ramp up, build out, and operate a **new data center environment**, including enterprise infrastructure, network, systems, security, storage, and related technologies. **Location:** Primarily **Northern Virginia** (including **Manassas, VA**) > Candidates may be considered for current and future openings based on customer authorization, program requirements, technical qualifications, and clearance eligibility. ### Day-to-Day Responsibilities Depending on the assigned functional area, responsibilities may include: - Designing, implementing, administering, maintaining, troubleshooting, securing, and optimizing enterprise infrastructure technologies - Supporting highly available, mission-critical environments - Collaborating with infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, and engineering teams ### Functional Areas (Experience in one or more) - **Storage & Backup Engineering** (e.g., **Nutanix**, **Cohesity**) - **Senior Network Engineering** (routing, switching, network troubleshooting, enterprise network infrastructure) - **Linux Engineering** (administering, maintaining, securing, troubleshooting Linux systems) - **Windows / Active Directory / Virtualization Engineering** (Windows Server, AD, virtualization platforms, enterprise infrastructure services) - **F5 Load Balancer Engineering** (configuring, administering, troubleshooting, maintaining **F5**) - **Exchange Engineering** (Microsoft Exchange and enterprise messaging environments) - **SolarWinds Engineering** (administering, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting SolarWinds and infrastructure monitoring tools) - **Palo Alto Firewall Engineering** (Palo Alto Networks firewall technologies, security policies, network security, troubleshooting) - **Splunk Engineering** (data ingestion, searches, dashboards, monitoring, troubleshooting, platform administration) - **ACAS Engineering** (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution: vulnerability scanning, configuration, reporting, remediation) - **Trellix Engineering** (endpoint security, threat detection, security administration, Trellix security technologies) ### Qualifications **Basic Qualifications:** - **Bachelor’s degree + 8 years** of experience, **or** - **Master’s degree + 6 years** of experience, **or** - **High school diploma + 12 years** of experience **Security Requirements:** - Must be a **U.S. Citizen** - **Active DOE Q** or **DoD Top Secret** - Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a **DOE Q/SCI clearance** **Additional Requirements (as stated):** - Demonstrated experience supporting one or more of the functional areas listed above - Experience supporting complex enterprise, government, or similarly large-scale IT environments *(Note: The provided description appears truncated at the end.)*
