**Security Analyst** ## About Crunchyroll Founded by fans, Crunchyroll delivers the art and culture of anime to a passionate community—serving 100M+ fans across 200+ countries and territories through streaming video, theatrical, games, merchandise, events, and more. ## About the role Help support the evolution of Crunchyroll’s corporate security program by defining processes and implementing technology across governance, risk, and compliance. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Legal, Engineering, IT, People, Workplace Experience, Trust & Safety, and third-party contractors/suppliers to design and evolve security technologies with employee needs in mind. **Apply if you meet ~80% of the requirements below.** ## About You - 2+ years of experience in Information Security / IT, or a BS in Computer Science or related degree - Experience administering security and/or IT management platforms - Strong fundamentals in security best practices - Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts including: - Email & phishing prevention - Endpoint protection - Identity & access management - Incident response - Network monitoring & controls - Vulnerability management - Familiarity with MacOS, Linux, and Windows - Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, VPNs) - Ability to troubleshoot complex problems - Ability to communicate complex issues to both technical staff and management - Positive, collaborative, and curious mindset ### Pluses - Security certifications (e.g., Security+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity) - Basic scripting experience (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) - Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or Google Cloud) - Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF or CIS Controls) - Knowledge of data privacy laws/regulations (GDPR, CCPA) ## About the Team - Investigate security alerts/events using tools such as SIEM, endpoint protection, and network monitoring platforms - Support incident response (on-call rotation, evidence gathering, documentation, remediation tracking) - Maintain security documentation, incident reports, and standard operating procedures - Perform basic vulnerability assessments and improve processes in the Vulnerability Management Program - Participate in security awareness and cybersecurity training initiatives - Track security program operational metrics and create reports/documentation - Support demos/evaluations for new platforms or tooling (proof-of-value) - Assist with user access reviews and other IAM activities - Partner with teams to monitor and implement security standards - Investigate and research proactive security measures - Support GRC and Privacy Programs as needed - Stay current on emerging threats, technology trends, and security best practices - Work with a focus on leveling up security at Crunchyroll ## Why you will love working at Crunchyroll - Competitive compensation (salary + performance bonus potential) - Flexible time off - Medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, and life insurance - HSA program - Health care and dependent care FSA - 401(k) with employer match - Employer-paid commuter benefit - Support program for new parents - Pet insurance; some offices are pet-friendly **#LifeAtCrunchyroll #LI-Hybrid** ## About our Values - **Courage** - **Curiosity** - **Kaizen** - **Service** ## Diversity & Inclusion Crunchyroll is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
