The platform runs over one million predictions per borrower using more than 3,000 signals, powering smarter, fairer decisions for millions of customers. **The Team** The Investor Analytics team plays a pivotal role in securing capital by delivering analytical insight into how institutional capital partners understand and price Upstart's credit performance. The team works across Capital Markets, Lending Partnerships, Machine Learning, Product, and Finance. **Your Impact** • Partner with Capital Markets and Lending Partnerships to engage directly with capital investors • Own the credit performance narrative for the HELOC portfolio—arrears, roll rates, vintage loss curves, and model calibration • Deliver recurring performance reporting on yield, default, and prepayment metrics • Build credit intelligence infrastructure using AI tools like Claude Code and Codex • Collaborate across Machine Learning, Product, Engineering, and Finance teams • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of excellence **Minimum Qualifications** • 5+ years in financial services with focus on credit and debt (consumer/structured credit, private credit, securitization, or credit capital markets) • Credit analytics expertise with hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL • Experience analyzing portfolio performance: delinquency, arrears, roll rates, vintage loss curves, model calibration • Expertise with large datasets, data modeling, and tools like Databricks, Redshift, DBT, and BI platforms • Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or related quantitative field **Preferred Qualifications** • Proven cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Product, Data Engineering, and ML teams • Executive-level storytelling with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker) • Home equity, HELOC, or mortgage credit background • Financial modeling experience for lending cash flows and deal strategy • Experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex) • Model explainability and calibration expertise **Location & Travel** Remote (US/Canada, outside Quebec). East/West coast time zones. Regular in-person onsites 1-2x quarterly for 2-4 days. **Compensation** US Remote: $157,000–$217,500 USD base salary Canada Remote: $140,300+ CAD base salary Includes target bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
