**Data Engineer Intern** **Duration:** 12-week summer 2027 internship **About the Role:** Partner with analytics engineering to build and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure that power insights across Coinbase. Work alongside senior engineers and cross-functional partners to ensure data accuracy, scalability, and accessibility for analytical and machine learning use cases. **What You'll Do:** • Build and maintain data pipelines ensuring data integrity and accessibility for analytics and ML workloads • Support development of scalable data infrastructure using Python and cloud-based technologies • Integrate and manage data from multiple sources, including internal systems and external APIs • Contribute to analytical deep dives with senior team members • Learn and apply data engineering best practices including governance, security, and optimization **Required Skills & Experience:** • Completed or in-progress coursework in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent with Python proficiency • Hands-on SQL experience and relational database knowledge • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) • Interest in AI, LLMs, or API integrations • Exposure to software architecture concepts (microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native design) • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight **Compensation:** $50/hour USD **Work Style:** Remote-first, hybrid with quarterly in-person "surge" sessions **Req ID:** P78146
