About this role

**Why Weave Exists** At Weave, our mission is to evolve how therapeutic knowledge is captured, transformed, and communicated throughout drug development—equipping human experts with AI instruments so drugs can reach patients as rapidly, safely, and inexpensively as possible. The Weave Platform streamlines regulatory workflows from start to finish by intelligently infusing every step with AI. Together with customers, Weave is designing and building the AI workbench for the entire therapeutic lifecycle. --- **The Role & Your Mission** We’re seeking our inaugural **Forward Deployed Engineer**, reporting to our Director of Customer Success. This is a unique, pivotal role requiring uncommon skills and disposition. You will own technical implementation for customers—configuring Weave’s core **“Regulatory AI Templates”** using a combination of AI expertise and regulatory experience. You’ll lead complex integrations, map data flows, ensure early-stage customer satisfaction, and help customers learn the basics to lead future configuration projects after onboarding. This role is heavily engaged with customers and requires strong ability to work with LLM prompts to produce high-quality scientific/regulatory documents. You’ll collaborate closely with customers and Weave’s GTM and Product teams. --- **What You’ll Own** - **Customer template customization:** Work with customers to tailor core templates to their style, brand, modality, and scientific idiosyncrasies. - **Prompt coaching:** Help customers become self-sufficient in maintaining their templates—building structure, confidence, and capability. - **Ecosystem integration:** Collaborate with IT, Regulatory Affairs & Ops, and Medical Writing to architect seamless data bridges between Weave and enterprise platforms (systems of record and publishing platforms). - **Handbook creation:** Document best practices and situational tips for technical implementation for internal and external audiences. --- **What You’ll Bring** - **Prompt Artist and Pragmatist:** Experience building repeatable prompt/template systems (not one-off chats), evaluating output quality systematically, and managing failure modes (e.g., hallucination, context limits) for high-stakes regulated documents. - **Technical System Connector:** Practical experience with REST APIs and Webhooks—able to parse documentation, validate endpoints, and handle authentication flows. - **Scientifically Conversant:** Drug development experience; SME in at least one area; able to pick up new domains quickly. Familiar with: **CMC, CSR, HAQ, ICH, IND, NDA, eCTD**. - **Customer Lover:** Enjoy working with customers, solving problems, and driving success. - **Outstanding Educator and Communicator:** Teaching is energizing—helping people “get it” and refining how to help them succeed. - **Builder:** Enjoys uncharted territory and building solutions. **Nice to have** - 5+ years experience in B2B SaaS or bio industries (e.g., drug co., CRO/CDMO), ideally in technical/software roles - Experience serving therapeutics, life science, or bio markets strongly preferred - Drug-related education (bio/chem) preferred; advanced degree ideal --- **What We Offer** - 🎯 Work at a modern, cutting-edge healthcare technology company with meaningful impact - 🏆 Competitive salary **($170,000 - $200,000)** plus eligibility for performance-based bonus and equity - 🧬 Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance - 🏝️ Generous PTO, parental leave, and benefit
