**Senior Backend Engineer (.NET)** **About the Role** Evolve the commerce and payment platforms powering LastPass subscriptions. Modernize services and deliver reliable payment integrations to help LastPass deliver seamless access for users worldwide. **About the Team** The Commerce engineering team architects, scales, and maintains backend platforms that drive e-commerce, billing, and payment processing. Working primarily in .NET, the team owns critical systems that keep LastPass subscriptions running reliably globally. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and implement scalable .NET services and REST APIs for commerce and payment capabilities • Deliver payment gateway integrations and regional payment method support • Contribute to planning, design, and feature delivery with cross-functional teams • Advocate for non-functional requirements and cost-effective solutions • Collaborate on technical decision-making and architectural direction • Coach and mentor engineers at various levels • Shape customer-facing applications with new features **Required Experience** • Proven experience in C# and .NET Core for web application development • REST API design, creation, and consumption • Relational databases and Entity Framework Core • OOP best practices, Docker containerization, and web security • Microservice architecture design and operation • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Team-first mindset with creative problem-solving **Nice to Have** • Architecture documentation (ADR/RFC) • Commerce systems and payment provider experience • Zuora development knowledge • AWS experience (Secrets Manager, background services) • Angular foundational knowledge **Why LastPass?** ✓ Leader in secure access ✓ Remote-first culture ✓ Competitive compensation ✓ Flexible PTO + 4 quarterly self-care days ✓ Parental leave & comprehensive health coverage ✓ Home office setup support ✓ Annual learning stipend ✓ Employee Assistance Program
