This is an **AI-native** role where you’ll leverage AI daily and help redefine what’s possible. --- ## Job Summary As a **Business Systems Engineer** on the **GTM Engineering** team, you’ll design, build, and operate the **automation and AI systems** that power ClickUp’s **Go-To-Market** business—spanning core business products and the integration platforms that connect them. You’ll work at the intersection of **business systems architecture** and **applied AI**, partnering with **Sales, Finance, Revenue Operations**, and fellow GTM Systems engineers to: - eliminate toil - accelerate revenue workflows - build automated, AI-augmented infrastructure This is a **hands-on engineering** role with strong ownership of production platforms and workflows. --- ## Key Responsibilities ### AI-Native Automation & Agent Development - Design and build **AI-powered automations** and **agentic workflows** across the GTM tech stack (e.g., **Salesforce, NetSuite, Workato, MuleSoft**) to eliminate manual effort. - Develop and deploy **ClickUp Super Agents** and **LLM-based automations** for workflows such as: - deal data enrichment - quote generation assistance - order validation - revenue recognition triggers - exception handling in quote-to-cash - Architect **MCP (Model Context Protocol)** integrations so AI agents can interact with business systems **contextually and safely**. - Evaluate emerging AI capabilities (e.g., **RAG, fine-tuning, multi-agent orchestration**) and determine what’s production-ready. - Create reusable **AI templates, automation patterns, and agent blueprints** for the broader team. ### Business Systems Integration & Architecture - Build and maintain integrations across **Salesforce, NetSuite, Workato, MuleSoft, DealHub (CPQ)** and other GTM platforms. - Own end-to-end integration patterns for critical flows such as: - lead-to-opportunity - quote-to-cash - order-to-fulfillment - revenue reporting pipelines - Design data flows and transformations to keep business data **accurate, consistent, and accessible**—without fragile point-to-point dependencies. - Apply a **build-vs-buy** mindset to choose the right approach (native platform, iPaaS, or custom code). ### Platform Development & Tooling - Build internal tooling and lightweight applications using platforms like **Retool** and **Replit**. - Write automation scripts and transformation logic in **Python, JavaScript, or Apex** when needed. - Use **Zapier, Workato**, and similar iPaaS tools to orchestrate workflows with maintainability, observability, and documentation. - Own the full lifecycle: discovery → design → development → testing → deployment → documentation → optimization. ### Reliability, Observability & Continuous Improvement - Monitor health and performance of automations and integrations; detect degradation and failure patterns early. - Perform root-cause analysis and implement durable fixes. - Maintain runbooks and operational documentation. - Gather stakeholder feedback and iterate to improve accuracy and reduce edge cases. ### Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement - Partner with **Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Customer Success** to translate requirements into technical solutions. - Collabo
