## Overview Peraton is seeking experienced **Infrastructure Engineers** to support anticipated opportunities on the **Department of Energy (DOE), Cybersecurity Intelligence and Security Support Services (CIS3)** program. This role supports the ramp up, build out, and ongoing operations of a **new data center environment**, including enterprise infrastructure, network, systems, security, storage, and related technologies. **Location:** Primarily **Northern Virginia** (including **Manassas, VA**). **Note:** Candidates may be considered for current and future openings based on customer authorization, program requirements, technical qualifications, and clearance eligibility. --- ## Day-to-Day Responsibilities Depending on the assigned functional area, responsibilities may include: - **Designing, implementing, administering, maintaining, troubleshooting, securing, and optimizing** enterprise infrastructure technologies - Supporting **highly available and mission-critical** environments - Collaborating with **infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, and engineering** teams --- ## Functional Areas (Experience Needed in One or More) - **Storage & Backup Engineering** (e.g., **Nutanix**, **Cohesity**) - **Senior Network Engineering** (enterprise network infrastructure, **routing/switching**, troubleshooting) - **Linux Engineering** (administering, maintaining, securing, troubleshooting Linux systems) - **Windows / Active Directory / Virtualization Engineering** (Windows Server, **Active Directory**, virtualization platforms, enterprise services) - **F5 Load Balancer Engineering** (configuring, administering, troubleshooting, maintaining **F5**) - **Exchange Engineering** (Microsoft **Exchange** and enterprise messaging environments) - **SolarWinds Engineering** (administering, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting **SolarWinds** and monitoring tools) - **Palo Alto Firewall Engineering** (supporting **Palo Alto Networks** firewalls, security policies, network security, troubleshooting) - **Splunk Engineering** (data ingestion, searches, dashboards, monitoring, troubleshooting, platform administration) - **ACAS Engineering** (vulnerability scanning, configuration, reporting, remediation) - **Trellix Engineering** (endpoint security, threat detection, security administration, Trellix capabilities) --- ## Qualifications ### Basic Qualifications - **Bachelor’s + 8 years** experience, **or** **Master’s + 6 years** experience, **or** **High School diploma + 12 years** experience - **Must be a U.S. Citizen** - **Active DOE Q or DOD Top Secret** - Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a **DOE Q/SCI clearance** - Demonstrated experience supporting one or more functional areas listed above - Experience supporting complex enterprise/government/similarly large-scale IT environments - Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work with cross-functional teams - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work **onsite** as required ### Preferred Qualifications - **Active DOE Q/SCI or TS/SCI** clearance - Experience supporting **DOE environments** - Experience supporting **highly secure, mission-critical, or classified** enterprise infrastructure - Experience in **large-scale data center, cloud, hybrid cloud, or enterprise IT** environments - Relevant technical certifications for the candidate’s functional area - Experience with **automation/scripting**, infrastructure monitoring, cybersecurity tools, or enterprise op
