**Senior Database Developer** **Overview** We're seeking a Senior Database Developer to play a key role in designing and developing a new platform supporting our growth business in fixed income portfolio analytics. This distributed system manages data-intensive computations across a large compute farm, leveraging Oracle databases, messaging systems, and Java-centric development practices. **Key Responsibilities** • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders on functional and technical design • Design and implement data solutions with the software engineering team • Develop technical specifications for physical relational data models on Oracle • Design data models and implement PL/SQL procedures on Oracle and PostgreSQL • Develop, maintain, and support critical system data • Optimize Oracle designs for efficient Java access • Diagnose and remediate system and performance issues • Lead/participate in Agile development projects • Manage efficient large-volume data loading • Provide technical documentation and team support **Required Experience** • 7+ years as a database developer on Oracle • Expert knowledge of Oracle: table design, normalization, partitioning, indexing, performance tuning, PL/SQL, stored procedures, monitoring tools • Proven ETL development and automation experience • Proficiency in scripting languages • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) • Experience with Linux and Windows environments • Team player with self-starter mentality **Preferred Skills** • Basic Java and Python knowledge • Cloud environment experience (AWS) • Modern full software development lifecycle practices **Note:** Flexible hours required to support project timelines. #LI-HR1 #LI-ONSITE *Equal Opportunity Employer*
