**Senior Software Engineer: Fleet Enablement & Insights** (Map Validation & Annotation Platform) **About the Company** Torc is a leader in autonomous driving since 2007, now part of the Daimler family. We're focused on developing software for automated trucks to transform how the world moves freight. **The Role** You'll be a technical leader on the Fleet Enablement & Insights team, architecting and building systems for map validation, simulation pipelines, and annotation platforms. This role owns hard engineering problems across scalable services, data pipelines, mapping validation, and web-based annotation tooling. **What You'll Do** • Architect backend services and data pipelines for map validation and simulation • Lead annotation platform development with scalable web-based tooling • Design robust data models across relational, spatial, and object stores • Build high-performance point cloud and image rendering with three.js/WebGL • Leverage AWS services (S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS) for scalable pipelines • Drive technical design and architecture decisions • Collaborate with Mapping, Simulation, Annotation, and Perception teams **Ideal Candidate** Seasoned backend or full-stack engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments, sets technical standards, and is energized by complex data engineering, distributed systems, and geospatial simulation challenges.
