**Dir Data Warehouse Engineering** **Position Summary** Mercury Insurance is seeking a Director, Data Warehouse Engineering to lead strategy, architecture, and delivery of the enterprise data warehouse platform. This role combines people leadership, architectural expertise, and operational excellence to modernize data building, governance, and delivery across the organization. **Key Responsibilities** • Define vision, roadmap, and operating model for data warehouse engineering • Lead multiple teams responsible for enterprise data warehouse development and scalable data pipelines • Drive modernization of data platform including modeling standards, orchestration, testing, and automation • Establish engineering standards for reliability, performance, scalability, and data quality • Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and business teams on SLAs and data contracts • Design end-to-end data processing solutions for reporting, operations, and AI use cases • Build strong engineering culture focused on ownership and continuous improvement • Mentor and develop managers, senior engineers, and technical leads **Required Qualifications** • 15+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, or related disciplines • 10+ years leading high-performing engineering teams and managers • Proven success with enterprise-scale data warehouse/lakehouse platforms • Deep expertise in enterprise data architecture and modeling (3NF, dimensional, star, snowflake patterns) • Expert SQL proficiency; strong Python skills • Production experience with Informatica, DBT, Airflow, Tivoli, or Dagster • Hands-on experience with Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery • Strong CI/CD and cloud environment experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) • Bachelor's degree in related field; Master's preferred **Compensation** USD $107,344.71 - USD $300,603.92 /Yr.
