**Software Engineering Intern (Summer)** **About the Role:** Help build and scale systems powering Datadog's observability and security platform. Contribute to real-world engineering challenges across backend, frontend, infrastructure, data engineering, and developer tooling alongside experienced engineers and mentors. **What You'll Do:** • Contribute to production systems processing large-scale observability data in real time • Build and improve distributed systems across backend infrastructure and cloud-native services • Solve performance, reliability, and scalability challenges in critical services • Own technical projects from design through deployment • Develop expertise with Kubernetes, distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure • Collaborate with fellow interns, mentors, and engineers on impactful software **Who You Are:** • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field • Targeting a 2028 full-time start date • Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, software design) • Comfortable coding in one or more programming languages • Experience with or interest in learning AI-assisted development tools • Available full-time from Datadog New York or Boston office - May 24 - Aug 20, 2027 - May 24 - Aug 27, 2027 - June 7 - Sep 3, 2027 **Benefits:** • Mentorship and buddy programs • In-person intern cohort with networking events and engineering talks • Relocation support and travel benefits where applicable • Office perks including snacks, drinks, and catered lunches (Mon/Wed/Fri) **Compensation:** $100,000 - $110,000 USD (reasonably estimated yearly salary) **Hybrid workplace | Equal Opportunity Employer**
