**Software Engineer, Growth Conversion** **About the Role** New York Times Conversion helps customers understand subscription benefits through purchase and onboarding flows. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll have direct, quantifiable impact on the Times' bottom line while supporting world-leading journalism. You'll engineer features across desktop and mobile using React and TypeScript on the frontend, Node.js for web applications, and Go-based APIs on AWS. Work end-to-end from idea to production with a collaborative team. **Key Responsibilities** • Build the conversion funnel for NYT customers across platforms • Improve payment workflows for digital and print subscriptions • Collaborate with design, data, and marketing teams on measurable business impact • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and A/B test brainstorms • Participate in on-call rotation for systems you help build • Support journalistic independence and the mission to seek truth **Basic Qualifications** • 2+ years full-time software engineering experience with TypeScript and React • Version control experience (Git) • Familiarity with server-side web development (Node.js, Go, or similar) • Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers **Preferred Qualifications** • A/B testing or experimentation platform experience • Consumer-facing or subscription product experience • Sales, growth, or revenue-focused feature development experience **Compensation & Benefits** **Salary:** $110,000 – $130,000 USD May include: variable pay, annual bonus, restricted stock, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and professional development. **Work Style:** Hybrid *The New York Times is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse workforce.*
