Join a remote-first team building the future of fintech—focused on empowering customers with tools for wealth-making. ### Our Values - **Lead With Heart** — compassion, integrity, tenacity - **Make Bold Decisions** — optimistic, adventurous, courageous - **Always Build Trust** — say what you mean, mean what you say, do what you commit to - **Never Stop Growing** — stay hungry and curious - **Find a way** — no excuses; make it happen --- ## What you will do - Understand Acorns’ mission, vision, strategic objectives, and fintech context while building relationships across teams. - Review and analyze proprietary datasets, vector database architecture, pipelines, and tools to identify gaps and propose improvements. - Contribute to customer-facing projects: **debug/enhance models**, **scale pipelines**, and deliver the **virtual support bot MVP** to production. - Collaborate cross-functionally to align AI efforts with business goals; mentor junior team members and drive innovation using **LLM capabilities**. - Optimize data pipelines, establish scalable monitoring, and develop an innovation roadmap aligned with fintech objectives. --- ## What you will bring - **Bachelor’s or Master’s** in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or a STEM-related field - **5+ years** total software engineering experience - **3+ years** in AI / data science / machine learning engineering - **3+ years** with modern cloud technologies such as **AWS, Bedrock, SageMaker, Databricks, or Kubernetes** - Foundational knowledge of **Generative AI**, **Transformers**, **fine-tuning LLMs**, **search ranking**, **RAG improvements**, and **LLM Agents** - Experience tuning neural networks on custom datasets - Experience with **Hugging Face** and **LangChain**; chatbot development - Proficiency in **Python** and/or **PyTorch**, plus **Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Matplotlib** - Strong drive to deliver game-changing products and belief that your work supports your mission > You’re not expected to have experience with every listed requirement—if you’re passionate about Acorns’ mission, vision, and values, apply. --- ## Work model - **Remote-first**, with optional office access in **Irvine, CA** --- ## Compensation & benefits (high level) - Competitive salary and stock options - Comprehensive benefits for you and your family - Flexible work location/hours and paid time off - **401(k) matching** - Monthly Acorns account contribution & GoHenry account for your family - Headspace and Addition Wealth resources - Career development and leadership programs **Pay range:** expected **$184,500–$217,100/year** at commencement (base pay may vary by factors such as location, skills, and experience).
