Backed by $100M in funding, we're breaking down data silos to create trusted data foundations powering better outcomes and reduced waste. **About the Role** Own accuracy, reliability, and compliance of healthcare data powering our cloud-native platform. Architect automated testing frameworks, lead data validation strategy, and mentor junior QA engineers while supporting regulatory and operational integrity. **Key Responsibilities** • Architect enterprise-scale automated data quality validation frameworks with rules engines and anomaly detection • Lead automated test strategies for healthcare data ingestion, transformation, and pipeline workflows • Drive root cause analysis on data quality defects and prevent recurrence • Define data quality standards and best practices across the organization • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Operations leadership on compliance requirements • Design advanced QA automation frameworks using SQL, Python, Java, and cloud-native tools • Conduct data mining and profiling to proactively surface quality risks • Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers • Ensure alignment with PHI handling, HIPAA, SOC 2, and governance requirements **Required Experience** • 6-8+ years in Data Quality Engineering and Data Engineering, preferably healthcare/payer environments • Expert-level SQL skills for complex data validation and profiling • Strong Python or Java automation scripting expertise • Production experience with AWS (S3, EC2, Athena) and Databricks • Deep knowledge of healthcare data types (claims, enrollment, provider data) • Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise QA protocols • Track record mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field **Nice to Have** • Delta Lake, Spark, Airflow, dbt, or event-driven architecture experience • Schema evolution management expertise • Terraform, DevOps, CI/CD, and Git experience • Software debugging and performance testing background **Benefits** • Unlimited paid time off • Work from anywhere flexibility • Comprehensive health coverage • Equity grants for all employees • Home office setup allowance • Monthly cell phone allowance • Growth-focused environment **Equal Opportunity Employer** Abacus Insights is committed to building diverse teams and providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants.
