## Staff Software Engineer — Full Stack ### About the role A Place for Mom is building intelligent, scalable platforms that connect families, providers, and advisors through AI-driven experiences. In this role, you’ll help build and scale the platform that B2B partners use to run their business. You’ll join the team that owns the **agency portal**, where senior living and home care providers manage referrals and their relationship with A Place for Mom. This position reports to the **Senior Engineering Manager — B2B Platform**. ### What you’ll do - Design, build, and continuously deploy features across the full stack - Build partner-facing experiences in **Grace** (referral management, community profiles, reporting) - Work across **React/TypeScript**, **.NET services** (behind a unified API layer), and **Python ingestion pipelines** into **Databricks** - Use **LLMs as a first-class part of the job** (not an afterthought) - Apply agentic coding tools in daily workflow - Scope work for agents, review and harden outputs, and build reliable context/prompt/tooling - Build LLM-backed capabilities such as extraction, classification, matching/entity resolution, summarization, and workflow automation - Implement evaluation harnesses and guardrails so quality is measured - Collaborate on cloud-native, service-oriented components and APIs - Champion quality engineering practices to enable continuous deployment (linting, unit/integration/e2e testing, pipeline automation) - Peer review, suggest optimizations, and create reference implementations - Investigate and resolve production issues end-to-end (UI → services → data) - Partner with product/project managers to deliver on time and at high quality; keep technical documentation current ### Who you are - Hands-on, outcome-oriented engineer who can own problems from **database to browser** - Strong technical leadership with experience designing, building, and supporting production systems - Energized by messy, real-world data problems and B2B workflows - Comfortable rewiring your approach to AI tooling and helping the team adopt it - Communicates clearly and partners closely with product and design ### Qualifications - **10+ years** of software engineering experience with depth across the stack - Strong front-end skills: **React, TypeScript**, component architecture, state management, testing, design system adoption - Strong back-end skills: modern server-side languages, **APIs**, relational data modeling, **SQL** - Working proficiency in **Python** for ingestion, transformation, and automation - Demonstrated proficiency with **AI-assisted/agentic development workflows** (e.g., Claude Code or similar; MCP-based tool integrations; AI-assisted code review) - Practical experience building **LLM-backed features** (prompt design, retrieval/context strategy, structured output, cost/latency management, systematic evaluation) - Cloud and data platform experience (AWS preferred; **Databricks**, Snowflake, or equivalent) - Thrives in fast-paced environments while architecting scalable, dependable solutions - Strong communication and storytelling skills ### Preferred experience - B2B/partner-facing SaaS, marketplaces, or lead/referral management systems - Large-scale web scraping/crawling/third-party data acquisition (including operational realities of changing upstream sources) - Entity resolution, record linkage, or master data management - Healthcare/senior care or regulated-data domain experien
