**Software Engineer** at Yext **About the Role** Join Team Hedwig to build and maintain shared systems and architecture across our customer platform. You'll work on high-traffic, broadly shared infrastructure that enables seamless integration of data and experiences across Yext products, including our Action Center. **What You'll Do** • Participate in the full software development lifecycle—design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operation • Contribute to the design and deployment of highly scalable and reliable systems • Develop storage systems, libraries, and frameworks • Proactively identify opportunities to improve products, systems, and engineering practices • Collaborate across engineering teams and throughout the company • Write clean, tested, and well-documented code • Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully while maintaining critical evaluation and ownership **What You Have** • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent) • 1+ years of professional software engineering experience • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design • Fluency with Java, C++, Python, or similar language (we primarily use Java and Go) • Comfort in fast-paced environments and openness to new technologies • Ability to critically evaluate technical solutions, including AI-generated code • Sound judgment regarding data privacy, security, and confidential information **Location & Work Environment** New York City office-based role.
