**Full Stack Software Engineer, Flight Software** **About the Role** Join SpaceX's application software team—the central nervous system of the company. We create mission-critical applications that accelerate launch vehicle production, enable Starship reusability, and support Starlink's growth as a global internet service. **What You'll Do** • Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX • Create new applications that improve SpaceX operations • Build prototypes to prove design concepts and quantify technical constraints • Own all aspects of software engineering and product development • Deep dive into user problems to find efficient solutions • Collaborate on architecture, design, and code reviews **Basic Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software development experience • Full stack development experience **Preferred Skills** • Programming: Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar OOP languages • 1+ years building single page web applications • Version control, CI/CD concepts • Software system design expertise • Testing, CI, build, deployment & monitoring • Application performance profiling and optimization • Build systems (Make, Bazel, Gradle) and package management (pip, npm) • UNIX-like OS experience; Terraform, Ansible, Puppet • In-stream data processing (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) • Docker and Kubernetes production experience • Front-end: Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks • Database: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar **Additional Requirements** • Willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed • Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral • ITAR eligible: U.S. citizen, national, green card holder, refugee, or asylee status **Equal Opportunity Employer** | Questions?
