**Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Platform Foundations** **SUMMARY** The Cloud Platform Foundations team builds and operates core infrastructure for Temporal Cloud, focusing on reliability, scalability, and automation. Own foundational systems including HA/DR, control plane automation, resource management, and customer-facing interfaces (APIs, CLI, Terraform provider, SDKs, Kubernetes operator). **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** • High Availability & Disaster Recovery – Enable continuous regional failover and improve platform resilience • Control Plane Automation – Automate operations to improve reliability and developer efficiency • Database Performance & Optimization – Scale data layer by orders of magnitude while maintaining latency, reliability, and availability • Deployment Plane – Redesign commit-to-production path with strong infrastructure and systems design expertise • CI/CD for Control Plane – Build reliable pipelines for safer rollouts, faster iteration, and better test coverage **TECH STACK** Go • PostgreSQL • ClickHouse • Redshift • Kubernetes • Kinesis • Firehose • S3 • Google Cloud Storage • Azure Blob Storage • Temporal **YOU BRING** • Backend engineering experience with cloud/infrastructure focus and ops exposure • Control plane team experience for cloud-based microservices • Multi-tenant SaaS application building/operating background • Strong PostgreSQL (or relational database) expertise • Track record designing for high availability at scale • Database design skills with bias toward building solutions • CLI and DevOps fluency **NICE TO HAVE** Data pipelining exposure **WHAT TO EXPECT** High-impact ownership over revenue-tied systems • Collaborative, quality-focused culture • Exceptional technical colleagues • Lean processes with autonomy • Strong emphasis on reliability and operational excellence • Mentorship and thoughtful design culture *Temporal Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer*
