**Software Engineering Intern** **About the Role** Join Garner's 10-week summer internship program in New York City. You'll build and launch features that directly impact real people, helping members find top doctors and manage medical claims. Work alongside engineers, designers, and product managers in a fast-paced, agile environment. Select interns will be offered full-time roles upon successful completion. **What You'll Do** • Use AI to build, optimize, and maintain software systems • Collaborate across disciplines to understand the domain and iterate on projects • Participate in code reviews and problem-solving sessions with senior engineers • Deliver a capstone project presentation to engineering leaders and stakeholders **What We're Looking For** • Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related STEM field (expected graduation Fall 2027–Spring 2028) • Solid CS fundamentals with exposure to front-end (JavaScript, React) or back-end (Python, Node.js) • Familiarity with databases or cloud platforms (AWS, Docker) is a plus • Interest in AI coding agents (Claude Code) is a plus • Strong problem-solver with ownership mindset and clear communication skills • Excited by fast-paced environments and motivated by real-world impact **Technologies** Claude Code, Kubernetes, AWS, Airflow, dlt, dbt, Python, TypeScript, React, Go **Compensation** $2,400/week + housing stipend **Note:** Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time. *Garner is transforming U.S. healthcare through AI and data-driven insights.
