**Senior Full Stack Engineer (AI Platform)** **About Protagonist** We combine rigorous analysis with our cutting-edge Narrative Analytics® platform to quantitatively analyze open-source media and deliver strategic recommendations for clients with missions that matter. **The Role** We're seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to build and evolve our internal AI-powered platform. You'll own production systems end-to-end—from backend services and data infrastructure to analyst-facing applications—and apply modern AI capabilities within a robust software platform. **Key Responsibilities** • Own features end-to-end: Django REST APIs, React/TypeScript UI, workflow pipelines, and LLM agent services • Partner with technical leadership on architecture and platform roadmap • Build LLM-powered systems on AWS Bedrock (agents, RAG, prompt engineering) • Develop data/ML workflows in Metaflow orchestrated on Argo Workflows/Kubernetes • Design PostgreSQL schemas, OpenSearch indexing, and event-driven processing (Kafka, Redis/Celery) • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to translate needs into scalable solutions **Required Experience** • 5+ years building production software with full-stack ownership • Expert-level Python with deep Django and PostgreSQL experience • Strong TypeScript/React skills for complex, data-heavy interfaces • Production LLM application experience (agents, RAG, prompt engineering, AWS Bedrock) • Search infrastructure (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch) and event-driven architecture experience • AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, and Terraform proficiency • Bachelor's degree + 5 years experience (or Master's + 3 years) in Computer Science or related field • U.S. person eligible for government contracts; active/prior SECRET clearance preferred **Ideal Candidates Also Have** • ML/data orchestration experience (Metaflow, Argo, Airflow) • Compliance-constrained environment experience • Data visualization and analyst-facing tools background • Startup instincts and bias to ship **Compensation** $95,000–$141,000 based on education and experience Protagonist is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
