**Software Engineer - Auth0/AuthZ (Java)** **Your Opportunity** Join New Relic's Access & Governance Platform team to build authentication and authorization systems that power the entire platform. Work on login, session and token management, enterprise SSO integrations (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2), and the roles/capabilities model used across the company. **What You'll Do** • Build and operate authentication services including SSO, OAuth2/OIDC token issuance, session lifecycle, SCIM-based user provisioning, and fraud defense • Create APIs and internal tooling for engineering teams to manage user data and access controls • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams on complex use cases • Participate in on-call rotation: triage incidents, investigate issues, and develop runbooks • Fix reliability, data-integrity, and security issues in production systems **Required** • 1+ years building and shipping reliable software services • Backend language expertise (Ruby or Java preferred) • Experience with data models and SQL against relational databases • Strong collaboration and communication skills **Bonus Points** • IAM protocol experience (SCIM, OAuth2, SAML, OIDC) • GraphQL API experience • Observability tools experience • Public cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) **Compensation & Benefits** $114,000 - $142,000 USD | Corporate bonus eligible | Healthcare, dental, vision, 401(k) match, flexible PTO, 11 paid holidays, mental health benefits **Note:** Remote position.
