**Software Engineer III – Developer Platform & AI Enablement** **About the Role** Join GHX's Developer Platform & AI Enablement team, building the tooling, standards, and AI capabilities that power GHX's core product engineering. You'll work on a small team whose customers are other engineers, developing healthcare supply chain products that save over a billion dollars annually in healthcare delivery costs. You'll own capabilities end-to-end: surfaces of the GHX agent platform, MCP servers other teams depend on, or complexity-based routers for local vs. hosted model requests. This embedded role has you working inside product engineering teams' repositories to prove patterns before bringing reusable versions to broader teams. **Key Responsibilities** • Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify platform capabilities end-to-end • Author technical designs and architectural artifacts; review peer designs • Develop and document reusable GitHub Actions and Terraform modules • Build and operate MCP servers with tool schema design and authentication • Extend the internal agent platform SDK and APIs • Drive defects and blockers to resolution with automated testing • Instrument developer-facing tooling and extend delivery-metrics pipelines • Co-facilitate recorded AI in Automation Office Hours weekly • Create and maintain documentation • Mentor new team members as needed **Required Qualifications** • BS or MS in Computer Science • 3-5 years software development experience • Experience building internal tooling for engineers • Daily use of agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) • Direct experience with GitHub Actions or equivalent CI • Infrastructure as Code experience • Technical writing portfolio (design docs, ADRs, runbooks, documentation) • Ability to teach live and unscripted sessions • Willingness to travel as needed • Ability to work independently and on multiple overlapping projects **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience measuring non-deterministic systems (eval harnesses, benchmarks) • MCP server development and operation experience • AWS deployment and debugging comfort • Agent configuration artifacts used by other engineers • Local/open-weight inference experience (Ollama, llama.cpp, MLX) • Developer outcomes measurement experience • Healthcare supply chain or EDI standards knowledge **Compensation & Details** Estimated Salary: $102,000 - $136,000 *GHX is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a discrimination and harassment-free workplace.*
