**Engineering Manager, UI Framework** Are you excited about building foundational systems that empower product engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences? Join Ridgeline's innovative team! **The Impact You'll Have:** • Lead the UI Framework team responsible for foundational systems and infrastructure powering Ridgeline's front-end applications • Set strategy and technical direction while balancing long-term platform investments with evolving product needs • Partner with product engineers to identify challenges and build reusable solutions • Own and evolve systems for building, testing, bundling, and deploying front-end code • Guide expansion into lightweight backend services supporting front-end capabilities • Champion developer productivity through APIs, utilities, documentation, automation, and tooling • Shape how AI changes front-end development at Ridgeline • Establish high standards for operational excellence across foundational systems • Coach, develop, and retain talented engineers while building a high-performing team • Build strong partnerships across Engineering, Design, and Product **What We Look For:** • 8+ years professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in management or technical leadership • Demonstrated experience building and evolving front-end architectures for large, modern web applications • Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern ecosystems like React • Strong knowledge of front-end build tooling (Webpack, ESBuild, Bun, Jest, etc.) • Experience with CI/CD, build pipelines, deployment infrastructure • Experience designing platform APIs, frameworks, and developer tooling • Understanding of backend and cloud infrastructure (Node.js, AWS, containers) • Experience leading teams where AI is integral to development • Ability to lead with and without formal authority • Track record of hiring, developing, and retaining talent • Strong communication and problem-solving skills **Bonus:** Platform/infrastructure team leadership experience, TypeScript-first frameworks, AWS services, front-end performance optimization, FinTech/investment management experience. **About Ridgeline:** Founded by Dave Duffield (co-founder of PeopleSoft and Workday), Ridgeline is the first front-to-back system of record for investment managers.
