**Senior Security Compliance Engineer, Public Sector** **About the Role** GitLab is seeking a Senior Security Compliance Engineer to support the Public Sector Compliance team. You'll advance customer trust and execute the compliance roadmap for GitLab Dedicated and GitLab Dedicated for Government SaaS offerings, while maturing GitLab's overall compliance posture. **Key Responsibilities** • Develop and manage GRC strategies aligned with FedRAMP, IRAP, and other regulatory standards • Support highly regulated customers with tailored compliance solutions • Lead security assessments, audits, and certification processes • Support FedRAMP continuous monitoring commitments • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Product, Engineering, Security, and Legal teams • Develop policies, procedures, and comprehensive compliance documentation • Automate GRC processes using compliance-as-code and policy-as-code solutions • Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends • Provide training and guidance on GRC topics • Act as subject matter expert for senior management and stakeholders **Required Qualifications** • Valid proof of US citizenship and residency (government requirement) • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience • Minimum 5 years in GRC, cybersecurity, or related field in highly regulated industries • Proven experience with FedRAMP, CMMC, SOC 2, IRAP, ISO 27001, or similar certifications • Strong understanding of public sector and highly regulated compliance requirements • Experience implementing compliance-as-code and automating control testing • Basic FedRAMP knowledge and familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, etc.) • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills • Strong communication and collaboration abilities **Preferred Qualifications** • CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar certifications • Ability to manage multiple projects independently in fast-paced environments **Compensation & Benefits** 💰 **Salary Range:** $139,200 – $196,000 USD ✨ **Benefits Include:** • Health, financial, and wellness benefits • Flexible Paid Time Off • Equity Compensation & Employee Stock Purchase Plan • Growth and Development Fund • Parental Leave • Team Member Resource Groups **Location:** Must be based in the United States (Remote role) *GitLab is an equal opportunity employer.
