We're redefining global logistics with 140+ million commercial autonomous miles safely flown. ### About the Software Integration Team Our Software Integration team ensures the software powering our autonomous aircraft works reliably and safely in the real world. You'll work at the intersection of robotics, embedded software, and systems engineering—bringing together planning, perception, and controls software. ### The Role As a Software Integration Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience testing and integrating features that affect how our autonomous aircraft fly, adapt routes, and respond to unexpected situations. Work with simulation tools, flight telemetry, and testing infrastructure to ensure new software behaves correctly before deployment. ### What You'll Do • **Data Analysis & Modeling** – Analyze datasets from engineering systems and sensors to uncover patterns • **Data Visualization** – Design dashboards using Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, or Tableau • **Dashboard Development** – Create real-time dashboards tracking key metrics and system performance • **Data Engineering** – Support data cleaning, preprocessing, and SQL query work • **Machine Learning** – Assist with model development for autonomy applications • **Scientific Programming** – Develop data pipelines, automate processes, and run simulations • **Software Development** – Build scripts and tools to improve workflows ### What You'll Bring **Education:** Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field **Technical Skills:** • Python for scientific programming (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Plotly) • Basic SQL for data querying • Software development practices (Git, debugging, documentation) **Other Qualifications:** • Statistics, linear algebra, or numerical methods experience • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking • Clear communication skills (written and verbal) • Machine learning concepts familiarity (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras) **Bonus:** Robotics/automation experience, object-oriented programming (C++/Java), cloud computing or big data tools ### Key Details 📍 **Location:** South San Francisco (in-person, full-time) 📅 **Duration:** January – April/May 2027 💰 **Compensation:** Starting at $54/hour + housing stipend, relocation support, paid sick time, and more ⚠️ *Candidates limited to 3 applications within 30 days* Zipline is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and reasonable accommodations.
