## Systems Engineer — Data Intelligence & Analytics Team (Cloudflare) **Location:** Austin *(Hybrid)* ### About Us At Cloudflare, we’re on a mission to help build a better Internet. Our intelligent global network gets smarter with every request, improving performance while decreasing spam and other attacks. ### About the Team The **Data Intelligence & Analytics** team builds a centralized **cloud data lake** and an **analytics platform** that provides actionable insights for internal Business Partners and Product teams, including a **360° view** of the business. The team’s goal is to **democratize data** and enable reporting and self-service analytics to fuel critical initiatives. ### About the Role Cloudflare is looking for a **Systems Engineer** to join the Austin team and scale development efforts on **Platform Tooling** initiatives. You’ll build **data application tools and frameworks** that empower internal teams, working closely with Data Engineers to add features and maintain **data pipelines written in Go**. You’ll collaborate across multiple technologies, including **Go, React, and ClickHouse**. ### What You’ll Do - Design and implement key features of internal applications - Work with cross-functional teams to design solutions for critical business problems - Improve an evolving platform architecture for **scalability, observability, and reliability** - Participate in knowledge sharing and mentorship ### Examples of Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience - B.S. or M.S. in **Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics**, or other quantitative fields - Experience with **Go, Python, Java**, or equivalent languages - Knowledge of **SQL** and relational databases such as **PostgreSQL** and **MySQL** - Experience with **CI/CD** and **GitLab CI** - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to collaborate across teams and work through ambiguous requirements ### Bonus Points - Familiarity with container-based deployments like **Docker** and **Kubernetes** - Familiarity with **Google Cloud Platform** (or similar) - Familiarity with **JavaScript/TypeScript** and **React** ### Benefits (Highlights) Cloudflare offers a comprehensive benefits package supporting employees and their families, including **health & welfare**, **financial benefits**, and **time off** (details vary by location). ### What Makes Cloudflare Special?
