**Software Engineer Intern (Fall 2026) — Austin, TX** **About Cloudflare** At Cloudflare, we’re on a mission to help build a better Internet. We protect and accelerate Internet applications worldwide—without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. Our global network routes web traffic through an intelligent system that gets smarter with every request, improving performance while reducing spam and other attacks. **About the Role** Cloudflare Engineering teams build and run the software that handles massive traffic across our global network. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and contribute code that impacts hundreds of millions of web surfers. **Technologies** TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Rust, C/C++, Python (and more). **Responsibilities** - Ship and deliver projects over **12–14 weeks** with autonomy and support - Work cross-functionally with various teams - Work closely with a mentor to guide you through the internship and support your career goals - Build your network through socials, networking programs, ERGs, and Activity Groups - Present your project to the entire company at the end of the internship - Connect and learn from executives and leadership (including co-founders) - Develop skills through professional development workshops - Write for the **Cloudflare blog** and be featured on **Cloudflare.tv** sessions **Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience** - Currently pursuing a degree/program in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field - Demonstrated critical thinking skills and drive to learn/adapt new technologies - Curiosity, empathy, and ability to get things done - Ability to commit to **full-time (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday)** for a minimum **12-week** internship - Available terms: **September 14 – December 4** or **September 28 – December 18** - In-office **3–5 days/week** in **Austin, TX** **Bonus Points** - Demonstrated passion for software development (personal projects, open-source contributions, or experience with **Cloudflare for Students**) **Please Note** - Interns are hired on a rolling basis until all roles are filled. - Applicants progressing to the offer stage may be asked to attend an in-person interview at a Cloudflare office/hub. - This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws. **Equal Opportunity** Cloudflare is an equal opportunity employer and provides reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities. *Sound like something you’d like to be a part of?
