**Staff Security Engineer** **About the Role** Join Twilio's Threat Detection and Response team as a Staff AI Security Engineer focused on Threat Hunting. You'll work with deeply technical Security Engineers to develop scalable processes, create bespoke security tooling, enhance threat mitigation capabilities, and automate security operations. **Key Responsibilities** • Participate in daily operations including on-call rotation, architecting detective tooling and automation • Develop and ship multi-year roadmaps and security programs • Conduct threat modeling and participate in incident response activities • Identify and prioritize improvements to the incident response program • Perform security research and architecture reviews • Build systems to simplify complex security problems • Mentor team members and foster positive cross-functional relationships **Required Qualifications** • 3+ years of security engineering in production cloud environments • Subject-matter expertise in security issues and technologies • Experience designing and building AI Agents and Agentic workflows • Ability to utilize AI for comprehensive threat hunting with high-fidelity detections • Knowledge of MITRE ATLAS framework or similar for AI threat detection • Advanced knowledge of service-oriented architectures and cloud security tools • Experience with SIEM platforms and extending their functionality • Experience with SOAR tools and process automation • Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation) • Experience with AWS, GCP, or similar cloud platforms **Desired Qualifications** • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to influence across all organizational levels • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline **Location & Travel** Remote role (not eligible for CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA). Occasional travel required for team meetings. **Compensation** Salary ranges vary by location: • Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont, DC: $155,520 - $194,400 • New York, New Jersey, Washington, California (outside Bay Area): $164,640 - $205,800 • San Francisco Bay Area: $182,960 - $228,700 Equity and bonus plan eligibility.
