We're headquartered in California with teams spanning North America, Europe, and Asia. **Position Overview** We're seeking a server-side Software Engineer for our Austin or San Mateo offices. You'll join a well-rounded, distributed team working on high-performance, large-scale applications for high-profile titles. **What You'll Do** • Develop features and gameplay functionality in Go • Develop and integrate new technologies and SDKs • Extend core systems as needed • Participate in multi-week or month-long efforts with other engineers • Identify and improve team and process inefficiencies • Conduct code reviews and improve software quality • Ensure secure coding practices and protect user data • Monitor industry trends and scalability concerns • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical solutions **What You Bring** • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience • 2+ years game industry/mobile app experience • Prior shipped game or live game experience • Proficiency in Golang, C#, and HTML • Strong experience with APIs and services (gRPC and REST) • Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software methodologies • Full SDLC knowledge (coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing, operations) • Excellent communication and collaborative skills **Bonus Skills** Unity, Git/Jenkins, performance profiling, Docker, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Kafka, Redis, AWS, Protobuf, monitoring tools (Bugsnag, Splunk/ELK, Datadog), multiplayer/realtime systems **Compensation & Benefits** Salary range: $85,700–$126,860/year (California, based on location and qualifications) Benefits include: medical/dental/vision, 14 paid holidays, 15–25 PTO days, up to 10 sick days, parental leave, wellness programs, family planning support, commuter benefits, and fitness reimbursements. **Equal Opportunity Employer** Zynga is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
