The company has safely flown over 140 million commercial autonomous miles. **The Opportunity** Join Zipline's New Products team for an intensive design sprint focused on a highly confidential clean-sheet product development effort. This is a short-term, paid contractor engagement with the potential to significantly impact the company's future. **Engagement Details** 📅 **Dates:** September 28 - October 2, 2026 📍 **Location:** Zipline's flight test facility in Half Moon Bay, California ⏱️ **Duration:** 1-2 days onsite (9:00 am - 6:00 pm) 💰 **Compensation:** $3,000-$6,000 per day 🍽️ **Meals provided onsite; travel/lodging not covered** **What You'll Do** • Work directly on ambiguous, open-ended technical problems • Generate concepts from first principles • Rapidly prototype and communicate potential solutions • Challenge assumptions and identify overlooked design opportunities • Operate effectively with minimal structure and incomplete information • Maintain strict confidentiality **What We're Looking For** • Demonstrated history of building difficult things and solving intractable problems • Technical creativity, strong engineering intuition, and hands-on ability • Comfort entering unfamiliar problem spaces and approaching problems unconventionally • Track record of turning unconventional ideas into working hardware or systems **Application Requirements** 1.
