The team connects inputs from warranty claims, service repairs, telematics, diagnostic logs, customer feedback, and vehicle usage to identify patterns, prioritize risks, and guide corrective action. **About the Role** As Senior Data Scientist, Field Quality, you will own the development of predictive models, analytical frameworks, and scalable data solutions that help identify and resolve vehicle quality issues sooner. You'll close the gap between high-volume field data and timely, data-driven quality decisions across warranty, service, reliability, product engineering, manufacturing, and data engineering teams. **What You Own** • **Predictive Quality:** Build ML models that identify emerging quality concerns earlier • **Risk Modeling:** Create frameworks that quantify warranty exposure and failure risk • **Root Cause Insights:** Lead data-driven investigations using warranty and diagnostic data • **Automation:** Develop dashboards, alerts, and model-driven workflows • **Data Readiness:** Partner with Data Engineering on reliable data pipelines • **Decision Support:** Translate findings into clear recommendations • **Methodology Standards:** Establish modeling approaches and best practices **What You Bring** • 5+ years in data science, machine learning, applied statistics, or reliability analytics • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field • Proficiency in Python, SQL, statistical modeling, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn • Experience developing, validating, and deploying models with large, complex datasets • Strong English communication skills **Preferred Qualifications** • Automotive warranty, quality, reliability, or telematics data experience • Warranty forecasting, survival analysis, fleet health monitoring, or anomaly detection • Airflow, Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, or cloud ecosystems • Vehicle diagnostics, DTCs, CAN signals, OTA systems, or EV technologies • Quality management systems experience in automotive or regulated environments **Work Requirement** Fully onsite at Lucid's Arizona Manufacturing Facilities and Offices.
