**Senior Mobile Engineer** **Overview** Maplebear Inc. D/B/A Instacart in San Francisco, CA seeks Senior Mobile Engineer (Multiple Openings). Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental United States but will report directly to Instacart headquarters in San Francisco, CA. **About the Job** Responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing large scale Android and backend software systems. Duties include: • Developing and implementing high-performance mobile and distributed backend solutions • Leading the end-to-end development lifecycle for applications by gathering requirements and conducting technical design • Creating and maintaining robust pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable software delivery • Ensuring robust security, data privacy, and compliance with industry standards throughout the software development lifecycle • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver new features **Minimum Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field • 5 years of experience in the job offered or related • 2 years of advanced Android development (MVVM/MVI architecture, Dagger/Hilt) • 2 years of Kotlin, Java, and SQL experience • 2 years of CI/CD automation experience (Buildkite, GitHub Actions, etc.) • 2 years of Agile team experience with Git, code review, and debugging • 2 years of experience with Jira, Figma, or similar tools **Compensation** Base pay range: $214,000 – $222,000 USD (varies by location) Eligible for new hire equity grant and annual refresh grants. **Work Style** Flex First remote position with flexibility to work from home, office, or preferred location.
