**Software Engineer, Online Database Infrastructure** **About the Role** Contribute to Stripe's financial infrastructure platform by designing and implementing robust solutions for database systems. You'll work on infrastructure resiliency, reliability, and efficiency at scale while balancing tradeoffs between reliability, throughput, latency, and cost. **Key Responsibilities** • Contribute to team strategy, roadmap, tooling, and culture • Scope, design, implement, and deploy robust infrastructure solutions • Innovate on software solutions for infrastructure improvement • Uphold engineering standards and improve codebase and processes **Requirements** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field • 5+ years post-degree software development experience • 5+ years experience in each of: - Developing and debugging distributed systems with open source tools - Building infrastructure as a product - Scaling distributed systems - Breaking down complex systems - Data-driven cost/performance optimization - Building developer-focused infrastructure and tools - Development in AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP - Programming: Ruby, Go, Python, or Java **Compensation & Details** 💰 $206,086 - $285,600/year ⏰ 40 hrs/week 🏠 50% remote permitted 📍 Multiple positions available **Benefits** Equity, company bonus, 401(k), medical/dental/vision, wellness stipends
