**Software Engineer 2 - RCM (Remote)** **About the Role** We're hiring a Software Engineer to enable Rula's Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team through development of scalable platforms, services, and internal tooling that power critical business operations. You'll build and maintain systems supporting payments, claims submission, and operational workflows across the revenue cycle. **What You'll Do** • Apply strong software engineering fundamentals to solve complex operational challenges • Work closely with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders • Improve efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness across critical business functions • Drive all phases of the development lifecycle: planning, execution, measuring success, and post-launch maintenance **Required Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline • 3+ years of professional engineering experience • Experience working directly with product and design teams • Experience building highly responsive, scalable, reliable, and performant systems • Intermediate understanding of modern application architecture, API design patterns, data modeling, security, and scaling • Frontend architecture knowledge including component-based design and state management **Preferred Qualifications** • Startup/growth-stage company experience • High personal awareness and growth mindset • Experience with React, Node.js, TypeScript, Kafka, or AWS • On-call experience and ability to drive complex issues to resolution • Focus on sustainable, medium-complexity project results **What We Offer** ✓ 100% remote work (US-based, excluding Hawaii) ✓ Competitive, transparent pay ✓ Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA) ✓ 401(k) plan access ✓ Generous time-off + 2 company-wide shutdown weeks ✓ Paid parental leave ✓ Employee Assistance Program (EAP) ✓ Home office stipend + $50/month internet/cell stipend ✓ $50/month wellness stipend ✓ Quarterly team stipend for activities ✓ Community and employee resource groups
