About this role

## GSC Portal Advanced System Developer ### Responsibilities - Provide design, architecture, development, and administration support for the **GSC Portal**. - Monitor existing systems for structural integrity and oversee installation/development of new hardware and software. - Install, configure, and routinely test operating systems and software to detect errors and other issues. - Write custom scripts to reduce manual intervention and create automated solutions for the GSC Portal. - Establish multi-platform versions of the software package and write tests to ensure compatibility and stability. - Provide development support to current GSC Portal web development. - Build and maintain an applications suite for a **Metrics/Performance/Alerts Dashboard**, including maintenance of **test and production** environments. - Maintain a thorough change log in **MHSSHD** for updates to GSC-supported websites. - Test site updates and obtain appropriate approval before promoting changes to production. - Apply industry best practices, system life cycle development methodology, and agile practices to maintain the development environment. - Work with various departments to identify and capture new requirements. - Analyze manual reporting activities and apply automation techniques to improve GSC operational and Service Center efficiencies. - Coordinate with groups as needed to support **RMF certification and accreditation** for GSC Portal tools. - Support special projects as required and maintain application system documentation. - Maintain and support enterprise platforms across **network, application, and database tiers**. - Develop and maintain **RPA** processes using **UiPath**. - Perform additional tasks as required. ### Skills / Requirements - Strong customer service and communication skills (oral and written). - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. - Proven project management skills and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines. - Strong development, documentation, and debugging skills. - Self-motivated with a drive for continual improvement. **Technical Skills (demonstrated knowledge/experience):** - **ColdFusion 2023** (administration, deployment, and maintenance of an application server using **Microsoft IIS**). - **AWS Cloud Services**: DynamoDB, Lambda, Connect, S3, IAM. - Database schema, data query building, and data analytics. - Familiarity with **SQL Server Management Studio** and **SQL Server** (preferred). - OO programming principles/design patterns (a plus). - Experience with **GitLab** or other versioning systems. - Experience with **Visual Studio Code**. - Ability to integrate/develop web application functionality via **APIs** to enterprise endpoints. ### Qualifications **Basic Qualifications** - Minimum of **8 years** with BS/BA; **6 years** with MS/MA; **12 years** with a high school diploma. - Must be a **U.S. Citizen**. - **Public Trust Clearance** (or ability to obtain one). - **Primary locations**: San Antonio, TX and Falls Church, VA. Remote work may be considered in special cases when approved by the customer. - **6+ years** enterprise-level website production experience using a variety of languages/scripting, such as: ColdFusion CFML, CSS, HTML, Java, JavaScript, AWS Lambda, SQL, AWS DynamoDB, UiPath, or C#. - Current active **IAT II** certification (**Security+**) with related Computing Environment (CE) certifications to comply with **DoW 8570** and **DoD 8140.03**. - Ability to provide functional examples
