**Staff Analytics Engineer (Remote)** **About the Role** Rula is seeking a Staff Analytics Engineer to lead the Universal Horizontal Platform Layer. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you'll serve as the structural enforcer and architectural leader for the data ecosystem, guiding domain engineers through an organization-wide migration to Snowflake and Medallion architectures. **Key Responsibilities** • Platform Architecture & Snowflake Migration: Lead design and execution of Snowflake migration with Medallion execution playbooks • Strategic Scoping & Executive Partnership: Bridge technical and business strategy; negotiate technical boundaries and establish intake guardrails • Warehouse Optimization & Cost Governance: Own Snowflake compute-cost profiling and warehouse performance globally • CI/CD Defense & Quality Assurance: Design and enforce automated CI/CD testing gates in GitHub to intercept regressions and schema anomalies • Team-Scaled AI Multiplier: Drive adoption of AI-assisted tools across the organization to accelerate delivery velocity **Required Qualifications** • 6+ years in analytics engineering, data architecture, or data engineering with systems-level experience • Experience leading architectural design or migration of modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) • Expert-level SQL proficiency and production experience with Medallion architectures • 2+ years hands-on dbt experience building production-grade ELT pipelines • Deep expertise in production git workflows and automated CI/CD testing gates • Proven ability to bridge technical execution and business strategy **Preferred Qualifications** • Track record scaling AI-assisted tools adoption across teams • Experience with headless BI semantic layers and AI agentic workflows • HIPAA-compliant data environments or EHR experience • Advanced RBAC, hashing, and masking strategies for sensitive data • Experience managing schema drift and changing business processes • Basic Python proficiency **Benefits** 100% remote • Competitive pay with transparency • Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA) • 401(k) • Generous PTO with 2 company-wide shutdown weeks • Paid parental leave • EAP • $50/month wellness stipend • Home office stipend • Employee resource groups *Must be based in United States (not Hawaii)*
