## IT Specialist — Anyscale ### About Anyscale Anyscale is on a mission to democratize distributed computing and make it accessible to software developers of all skill levels. We’re commercializing **Ray**, an open-source project powering scalable machine learning across teams and companies worldwide. ### About the Role This is a **hands-on IT engineering** role (not help desk / tier-1 support). Anyscale runs on a small, high-leverage IT function, and you’ll **own** key systems across: - **~Half software/automation**: internal automation + notification services integrated with directory and hardware systems. You’ll own a codebase and GitHub repository. - **~Half IT infrastructure**: identity, endpoints, hardware logistics, and vendor backbone supporting a ~200-person company (nearly half engineers) across **three public clouds**. **Location:** San Francisco Bay Area (hybrid schedule) ### What You’ll Do - **Own identity and access**: Okta + Google Workspace administration, group-based authorization, 1Password Enterprise, passkeys, and automation-driven provisioning/deprovisioning. - **Own and extend internal automation services** and run them on scoped service accounts with strong security practices. - **Own the endpoint fleet** via mobile device management, including device trust posture checks and endpoint detection & response (EDR) / security & collaboration tooling. - **Run hardware logistics end to end**: procurement, global/international shipping via a managed provider, inventory buffer, and returns/recycling. - **Own vendor management**: SaaS service catalog with owners + renewal dates, purchase request intake, and driving renewals to decisions. - **Support audits**: collect audit evidence and help design controls to perform well in internal/external audits. - **Support office technology**, including conference room and other workplace tech. ### What You’ll Bring - Strong hands-on experience administering **Okta** and **Google Workspace**. - Experience managing a **macOS fleet** via mobile device management, including device trust and endpoint security tooling. - Experience with **identity lifecycle automation** driven from an HRIS. - Track record owning **IT hardware logistics**, **vendor renewals**, and **SaaS management**. - Familiarity with **audit evidence production** and the discipline it requires. - **High-ownership, automate-first mindset**: you reach for code/process before headcount and are accountable end to end. ### Nice to Have - Experience in a **high-growth startup** where IT is small and high-leverage. - Exposure to **multi-cloud** environments. - Comfort with **infrastructure-as-code**. - Experience running internal tooling on **scoped service accounts** (not individual credentials). - Background supporting a largely **engineering workforce**. - Experience with **AI providers** for access, billing, and spending limits. ### Compensation - **Anticipated base salary range:** **$171,000 – $191,000** - Final offer depends on experience, skills, qualifications, and market. - Equity awards + comprehensive benefits package. ### Why Anyscale - Mission to make scalable computing effortless; Ray is used by leading AI platforms. - Tech in production at companies including **OpenAI, Uber, Spotify, Instacart, and Cruise**. - Backed by **Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, and Addition**; **$250M+ raised**. - Partnerships with **Azure, CoreWeave, and Google Cloud**. - Competitive salary/equity + health/dental/vision coverage (man
