**Senior Software Engineer - ManagedDB** **Location:** Menlo Park, CA **Work Authorization:** US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card) required **About the Role:** Join Snowflake's ManagedDB Team to architect and scale critical database systems powering 3.9+ billion daily queries. Lead technical vision, design, and implementation of database products across AWS, Azure, and GCP. **Key Responsibilities:** • Architect & scale database products for internal and external needs • Drive multi-cloud strategy with elegant, cloud-agnostic abstractions • Provide technical leadership on complex, cross-functional initiatives • Ensure high availability, security, and SLA compliance • Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident investigations • Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and SRE teams **Required Qualifications:** • 7-12 years designing and scaling large-scale backend distributed systems • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) • Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, Redis) and distributed systems • Advanced proficiency in Go, Java, C++, or Rust • Extensive public cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, CloudFormation) • Proven technical leadership and cross-team collaboration **Why Join:** Be part of a high-growth team solving complex platform engineering challenges at massive scale.
